I sincerely loved all the ideas I had for this album cover. I was trying to cover a broad range of styles. I think #1 was my favorite of the rough ideas…it had a ways to go still. The design process is such an enigma, getting from point A to point B is just amazing. Sometimes I never think it will happen, but it always seem to work out. I’m reading this book about the battles of being an artist and my favorite quote so far goes something like this… “I only work when inspiration strikes, fortunately it strikes every morning at 9am.” The book talks a lot about how showing up for work and just making the effort to get things done often leads you to your inspiration. I believe it and I definitely saw it work in this project and many others recently.
