I’m reading a book by a quaker pacifist about vocation and calling. It’s an interesting book and the end of it talks about the metaphor of seasons in life. The section on Autumn discussed the concept of beauty in death. As leaves are turning and the summer of beauty is changing into winter, there is an extravagant visual gorgeousness. Dark and light don’t fight each other, they coexist in a beautiful wholeness. He quoted Thomas Merton during this part and I just love this quote. In everything is some dark and some light and in that contrast is wholeness.
That is beautiful Kar. I would love a poster like that.
