Music

I grew up around music, took classical Suzuki Method piano for 9 years during childhood. I moved to guitar and other stringed instruments in high school and began my journey as a songwriter in college.

In an effort to document my own songwriting and explore my ideas for music production I became a self-taught engineer in my early 20’s and went on to produce a handful of records for friends.

Music is magic to me. It expresses what the brain can’t quite pin down. It helps humans ruminate on complex ideas and feelings. It connects communities and it fashions colorful memories out of mundane moments. It connects us to the past and moves us forward with inspiration.

In the past I have performed with several musical projects including: Windoe, Super Sparkle, Cathedral Pearls, prairie war. I currently write, record and perform as Karli Fairbanks. Check out my newest single below or anywhere you stream music.
