Have I mentioned lately how much I love the Flickr Commons? It is literally a window into the past. I happen to be obsessed with all things in the past, so it is the perfect place for me to spend my time meandering when I need a break from work. This set recently caught my attention. It’s a bunch of photos of a coffee lounge in Sydney where the bohemian sub-culture was thriving in the early 1950’s. I love the history of the “coffee shop.” Always a place where thinkers, artists and essentially indie-kids have dwelt. Here’s a few of the photos I loved from the set. You can look at the rest here.
