The Bartlett

In 2013 my ex partner and I opened an all ages music venue called The Bartlett. We ran it for almost 6 years and hosted hundreds of bands, artists, poets, art shows, festivals, open mic nights, poetry slams, funerals, weddings and parties.

The Bartlett was my first experience owning a brick and mortar business. It lived a life of it’s own impacting thousands across the region and country. Live music was and is our passion, but The Bartlett was also a communal space for the arts in Spokane. A place where musicians and visual artists came to get inspired and connect. And a space where people who deeply love music could feel at home.

After almost 6 years we closed the venue due to a myriad of challenges but are proud of what we learned and the work we were able to do through this small space.

Lucky You Lounge

In 2019 we opened our second business. With more experience and new vision we signed a lease and began construction on a 10,000 square foot building just west of downtown Spokane.

Lucky You Lounge was born out of our continued desire to bring high quality live music experiences to our community. We founded a more sustainable business operation by pairing our love of live music with food and nightlife. Lucky You has a full service restaurant, a patio, two bars, two floors and two stages.

While no longer involved in ownership of Lucky You, I learned so much there about the relationship of art and space, brand management, social media management and working with people.
